Leyburn Sales Summary We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors for their support, it is much appreciated: SPONSORS Friday's weekly sales include: Dairy Cattle at 11.00 am followed by 60 - 150 Rearing Calves and stirks with a special monthly stirk sale on the first friday each month. The Rearing calf section includes two separate prizes sponsored by Carrs Billington Agriculture and Genus for the top priced beef bred calves each month. Store Cattle and Feeding Bulls on a fortnightly basis at 11.00am. These sales provide excellent quality suckler bred types predominately Limousin and British Blue crosses. Regular prize shows are held from October through to May culminating in the "May Fair" when 500 - 600 cattle are on offer.

• Special monthly Beef Breeding Cattle sales are held in conjunction with the store cattle sales. These include twice yearly shows and sales on behalf of the North East Limousin Breeders Club

Wednesdays throughout the year:   

• Weekly Primestock sale including Prime lambs and Hoggetts; light lambs and hoggetts and cast sheep.
• Prime bulls, clean cattle and cast cows and bulls.
• Collection for Old Cattle Disposal Scheme.

Our special seasonal sales furnish sellers with the opportunity to rub shoulders with breeding sheep buyers from all parts of the country. These include all classes of Mule, Masham and Swaledale sheep and society and association sales for the Teeswater, Charollais and Texel breeds.

In March 2006 the Leyburn Spring Spectacular for Show Potential Cattle was launched.  This specialist event attracts only the best quality cattle which are ready halter trained to go forward and compete at shows and sales throughout the year.
In March 2007 a top price of £3,500 was achieved for a Limousin Cross Heifer.

• Sales of Furniture and General Goods are held on tuesdays
  (dates advertised in local press)  

• Sales of Farms, Agricultural Land and Property undertaken together with
  Valuations and Professional work.

• Farm Stock sales conducted.

All vendors have the opportunity to collect a cheque from the proceeds of their sale immediately after their livestock is sold.

First class canteen facilities are available on the premises throughout all sale days
